The Colorado Water Quality Control Commission has scheduled the Lake Nutrients Criteria Rulemaking Hearing for November 14, 2022. The proposed lakes nutrient standard changes will impact the Authority’s ability to meet the proposed standards if those standards for Chatfield Reservoir are implemented as currently proposed by the Division. The Authority’s has selected to become a party to the rule-making process. Party status allows the Authority to provide input to the Division and the Commission on the proposed nutrient regulations as well as support and/or oppose other stakeholders proposals. The Chatfield Watershed Authority Lakes Nutrient Criteria Subcommittee was created to support the rulemaking hearing process.
