Perry Park Water and Sanitation District

  • Summary

The Perry Park Water and Sanitation District was established in the late 1960s to provide water and wastewater services to developments within its service boundary. The District currently provides service to approximately 1600 customers and at total buildout is expected to have about 3,400 customers. When it comes to water quality, they are here to ensure the proper precautions and safeguards are followed long before the water reaches the faucets of their customers and to ensure wastewater is discharged safely back into the environment.

The District is a quasi-governmental entity that collects property taxes and fees for its services. It is not a not-for-profit entity. Rather it was established to provide the Perry Park community safe and reliable drinking water and to treat, release and use wastewater for renewable water augmentation 365 days a year, 24/7. All of the District’s Board members are property owners and/or residents of the community. Learn more at PPWSD.org

  • Activities

Each day, PPWSD certified water treatment operators prioritize the quality of their drinking water. Water quality tests are continually being conducted to help ensure that safe water reaches everyone’s faucets in the community. Annually, they also produce a water quality report to help inform our customers about the monitoring results and the quality of their drinking water. This annual water quality report, also called the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), is prepared in accordance with the EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act Amendment.

  • Accomplishments

Perry Park tap water continues to meet, and in many cases, surpasses the EPA’s strict health standards. The CCR report is mailed to their customers every year by July 1 and can be reviewed on their website at any time.
